The Mindful Photographer

Photography was always about connecting with the human in front of me. Choosing photos that represented their personality and the story they wanted to present for their professional life online and in their marketing. As a Melbourne based photographer in lockdown for the better part of 2 years, unable to photograph professionally, I returned to post graduate study to qualify as a counsellor. Having completed the Graduate Diploma of Counselling and becoming an accredited with the Australian Counselling Association, continuing on to the Master of Counselling to complete mid 2024 will allow for more opportunity to research. Continuing my project The Mindful Photographer I hope to research in greater detail the effectiveness of using a camera as a tool for mindfulness. Why I do what I do

As a headshot photographer I know only too well how intimidating being in front of the camera can be. That’s why I do what I do behind the lens!
